Good to see you are getting back to music !
This one would make a nice battle theme. Digging the old school style.
Panning on the melodic line and backgrounds helped to keep all lines separated.
When you have a drum pattern with a lot of kicks in succession it's recommended to play more with dynamics, make the first hit stronger and the rest weaker to lower the "machine gun effect".

SilverFoxJams responds:

Yeah! I agree, or something during an action sequence of a game. I'll keep in mind what you said about a lot of kick drums in fast paced bpm. I'll try that technique.

Spooky contest with spooky-good prizes !
My salutes for the organizers , best of luck to all contestants.

I hear a lot of advance on your mixing.
Regarding the levels of all instruments, all sounds in place even if there's a lot of them.

Watch out for the release time on the low and mid-low end sounds , it creates a bit of dissonance. Also don't forget about frequency cuts.

Some equalization on the instruments whit the same freq range can help you to achieve an overall cleaner sound.

Nice new style. Looking forward to see your future improvement :)

I think it's OK the way it is, but it will work better as a video game loop.
It just needs a proper ending to connect with the beginning.
The crushed background perc and chiptune-ish sounds give it a fun character.

This is nice and relaxing. Nice sounds of choice.
Structure it's simple, but fits the calm vibe of the track.
There's a couple of areas to improve on this piece :
- Give your main synth a shorter decay / release time so your notes do not stack creating that brief but noticeable dissonance.
- You can transport the sliding synth one octave up or change the waveform. Those notes are on the same register as your main synth and the wave it's similar, so both of them blend and the detail can't be fully appreciated.

Keep the good work mate.

Constipated indeed.
I don't like it too much as a piano piece either, but it has nice rhythms and melodies.
I think it will sound nicely re-worked as a 16bit rock ; Megaman x style.

carbonlad responds:

ty for the feedback

Reminds me of Kirby music, and that can't be a bad thing :)
Better percs would do wonders for this track. A bit of panning or maybe frequency cuts will also help to create space between your lines.

alecrutz responds:

tbh yeah I have some issues with the song myself. but I'm glad you like it

Way to go man , this really gets you back !
The slap synth bass and orchestral hits scream retro.
I really like the simple perc patterns , those go along nicely with the panning, specially on the second half when the background sounds reinforce them. Solid track in all aspects.

I see an overall improvement from your previous work :)
All your synth lines have a well defined place on you mix now.
All is left to balance it's the volume of your perc sounds (which fall a bit too low) and your bass sound (which falls a bit too high). Nice song structure.

DiamondEnderman responds:

thank you my dude =D I take all feedback into consideration

Glad to know from you again mate !
As I was listening, a little something started to take form in my head.
Hope you don't mind if I mess with this one too.

There's so many things I don't understand , and I'm not sure if I want to.
